Bryant's Christmas Story

Bryant's Christmas was awesome this year. He got a lot of fun stuff to play with, and a lot of fun stuff for us to put together. I am pretty sure he will be pretty busy for the next couple of months!! He got everything from a kid proof digital camera to Lego's and everything in between! Bryant getting a camera i think was a smart idea. He is always asking to take pictures. I think he did pretty good for not really knowing what to do. Now I must say when I saw him turn the camera around and take a picture of him self i thought i was going to die of laughter. (so my child) Here are some pictures compliments of Bryant!!! (oops sorry Pa-pa for your head being cut off!!)

After we were able to get the camera away from Bryant he finally got a chance to sit down and play with the rest of his toys while we figured out how to put others together. I think i messed around with one of his toys trying to put it together for 2 hours!!!! But in the long run for Bryant to get so excited over it, it was worth that 2 hours of frustration and taking it apart and putting it back together at least 10 times!Thank you to everyone who helped make Bryant's Christmas great!!!!!

As for now the countdown is on until his Birthday!!!

Another long weekend but a fun long weekend....

To start off our weekend we had Jason's Christmas party. Dinner, drinks and food we couldn't ask for more!We had a blast!!!

Saturday we FINALLY decided to get some Christmas stuff out. We only got our tree and stockings out. As much as I would have loved to get my village out and put out I just couldn't bring my self to do it.
To finish off the weekend we took a trip down to Thousand Oaks for Poppy's 80th Birthday party. It was really nice to see the family and spend time with them!

To finish off the weekend and night Jason and I finally got the camera we have wanted! I am super excited to see what it can do! here are a few pictures of the monster man that were taken with it! There will be more to come!!!

Long Weekend.... Long Blog....Lots of Pictures.....

This past weekend was super busy! Friday night we drove over to Solvang because Jason's boss had a room over there he wasn't able to use. He offered it to us and we gladly accepted! So Friday night and Saturday we spend the day in Solvang walking around, shopping and watching their parade! It was a really nice get away!!

To top our weekend off we decided at the last minute we would take Bryant to Disneyland to see all the Christmas decorations and as he likes to say Mickey and His Friends. It was a lot of fun to see how Bryant reacted to everything. We waited until they turned all the lights on so Bryant could see and when they turned the lights on Its a Small World on his mouth dropped and he was speechless (that's pretty hard) it was great but we couldn't get the camera out fast enough to take a picture of it...We had a great time!!!

T- Minus 26 Days and Counting...

We went out shopping on Black Friday and that was crazy. But, we got almost everyone taken care of. Most of what is left is odds and ends. I cannot wait for Christmas now that we have gotten Bryant's presents out of the way. I don't think he is going to know what to do when he wakes up Christmas morning and sees everything that we have gotten him or that "Santa" has brought him.

We are super busy that time is just going to fly by. Between birthday parties, holidays,Christmas parties, watching the Santa Clause 10 times, shopping and a vacation the next thing I know January 1, 2010 will be here! I am looking forward to everything that is to come .

I still don't have my Christmas stuff up or even out. Anyone want to come and do it for me???

Black Friday!

What a joke! Who knows how many people attend black Friday every year, but one thing for certain is that Danielle and I will not continue to be among them. Danielle and I decided this year to try and brave the storm that is black Friday. Who would have realized that not only is it as chaotic as we had anticipated, but it was just as big of a joke as well.
Of all the places we could have chosen, we chose the treacherous terrain that is one of our local big box retailers. In the past we have done what any sane blooded Americans do, show up in the late morning and grab the slim pickings of left overs from the mad rush. Last night we experienced a whole new world, we were at our store for 12 hours straight waiting for one item each.
It all begins at 6 pm Thanksgiving day. We bundle ourselves up, grab the lawn chairs, the portable video games, our little bit of dignity and drove to our local retailer. We began by scoping out the lay of the land trying to get a feel for our plan of attack and expecting to spend a long evening out in the cold. Quickly however, all our plans were dashed by the new store protocol. You see, as we understand it, sometimein the past, a store employee met an untimely and unfortunate demise during this horific day (Our prayers go out to this family as should yours). So this year, the store opted to place their patrons in direct danger as opposed to the employees. The theory was simple, create a line at each item and in a nice orderely fashion each person would get their items in the order that they had waited. By all purposes, in a perfect world this was a great scenario. People on the other hand are very unpredictable and instead began mad rushing and crushing those to the inner sanctum of the product reception. What should have been a nice simple, long (let me stress the long part) wait for your preferred item of choice, quickly tunred into an all out free for all that would and could have rivaled many a martial arts matches.
Never before in our lives life have we witnessed the lows and depths of human depravitey more than we did today. Who knew that saving $30 on a $100 item was worth beating each other senseless. Maybe we should start MMA for coupon cutters.

Almost 4.....

So I just realized today that Bryant is going to be 4 in about 4 months! I have no clue where the past years have gone!!! My little monster man went from this little guy who depended on us for everything to half the size of me who does everything on his own...He is a little man who never stops! But the best part about the whole thing is I have been here everyday with him to watch him grow and I wouldn't trade it for anything!.Thank you my love for this opportunity.

Looking back through some of the pictures from the hospital, Erica i could kill you for some of them!!! But I guess its an even trade for you and Jeremy staying at the hospital until all hours of the night with me!!!!

Hmmm time for another one???

How Many Days Till Christmas?!?!?!?!?!????

I cannot believe there is only 33 days until Christmas!! I really need to get in gear and get ready for it!!! I need some motivation to get my stuff out and put it all up! We have been so busy with getting mom's ready for Christmas i think I'm burnt out on decorating! For those of you who know my mom understand that Christmas starts in October around her house.

Santa is not ready for sure! Every time Bryant sees a new toy on TV he says "Mommy I'm going to ask Santa for that and he is going to bring it to me for Christmas!!!" I think his Christmas list to Santa is about a mile long! Jason decided to give him a marker and the Toys R Us big toy book and let him mark what he wanted.... EVERYTHING was marked except for the pink stuff!!!

As for now the next thing on my list is Thanksgiving and figuring out Christmas cards and pictures for it....
